Crystal Rutangye-Bazirake
Scribe House
I am a seasoned publishing professional with a Master’s degree in Publishing Studies from the University of Stirling, earned in 2015 as a Commonwealth Scholar. I delight in the power of the written word to share ideas, thoughts, stories, memories, and other aspects of humanity and Christianity. With 15 years' in the publishing industry, my expertise includes editing fiction and non-fiction trade books, ghost-writing, book production management, and training new writers/editors. I lead a team of zealous book editors, graphics designers, and illustrators at Scribe House. I’m passionate about building Uganda’s publishing ecosystem - I continue to research trade book distribution in Uganda, which was the topic of my Masters’ thesis, and the development of holistic publishing solutions for African authors.
