John Jebaraj James served with the Union of Evangelical Students of India for over two decades. During this time, he was the editor of a monthly newsletter and a bi-monthly magazine, and ran workshops to train emerging writers in writing and social media engagement. John was instrumental in establishing and leading InterVarsity Publishers (IVP) India, and in strengthening its global partnerships. He currently serves with The Shepherd’s Academy, where he is involved in digital theological education through course writing, editing, and translation. He continues to write for magazines, as well as mentor and train aspiring writers.

Through practical examples and guided reflections, you’ll learn how to identify where meaning might be lost when your story travels—and how to adapt narratives without erasing their cultural identity.
Edgar “Ned” Legaspi is an author, educator, and speaker specializing in culturally intelligent storytelling. He spent 30 years with ABS-CBN Global, where he led content and creative work for Filipino audiences worldwide. He is the author of Culturally Intelligent Storytelling for Southeast Asian Creators and creator of the CIS Bamboo framework. A 2024 Cultural Intelligence Fellow, he currently teaches communication at Ateneo de Manila University and is pursuing a PhD in Philippine Studies at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
