Pray for God to raise up workers

Christian writing and publishing is a spiritual work and needs God’s enabling. Rezar that God would raise up Christian writers, editors and publishers in a variety of genres—from fiction, children’s books and short stories to devotionals, discipleship guides and teaching curriculum.

Start a prayer group

Choose a regular time you’ll pray for MAI’s work and invite others to join you. You can start with just one or two other people! You can start a new group or let us know you’re happy to lead others from elsewhere seeking to pray. You can also pass on MAI prayer points to your church prayer team to pray for.

Create a writing culture

Encourage your church community to express their faith through stories—in a written form. Invite people to write their testimonies that you can share in print or online. Run short writing contests and arrange to publish winning entries.

Endorse MAI books for your book club and library

Pick an MAI book for your next church book club, or for a book review in your church magazine, blog or social media pages. If you have a church library, invite your librarian to consider including MAI books in the collection.

Invest in your teachers and speakers

There may be excellent teachers or orators at your church with great ideas to share. Encourage them to write these things down and explore the possibility of supporting their training to write a book or other forms of written content. You might even connect them with a local publisher!

Ask us to run a workshop

Look at equipping all generations to start writing excellent Christian content. Invite us to your Sunday school, youth group, holiday club or church event to run a short workshop on writing compelling stories that make people curious about the gospel.

Be a visible partner

Showcase your partnership with MAI by adding our slide to your church PowerPoint, our flyer to your missions board, our website link on your church website, and print outs of our postcards and prayer letters in your foyer. And invite other churches to join you!
