Aaron Lee
Singapore
Aaron Lee is a fintech lawyer and serves as a missions elder in his home church in Singapore—and as MAI-Asia Board Chair. He is married to Namiko, an artist who is also his ministry partner. “I am inspired by MAI’s global mission and see its ministry as giving focus to my own work as a poet-writer and cultural worker,” Aaron says. “I look forward to seeing God bring about long lasting and fruitful partnerships between writers, publishers, teachers and gospel communicators.”
Aaron’s book tip: “Artist Makoto Fujimura’s excellent book titled “Culture Care” contains a call to cultural stewardship, in which we feed our culture’s soul with beauty, creativity, and generosity.”

Emily Lim-Leh
Singapore
Emily Lim-Leh writes children’s books and family devotionals for Our Daily Bread Ministries. “Since I started writing for children, I’ve realized that children’s books can be such valuable hope-sellers and adults should read them too!” Emily says. In addition to serving as MAI-Asia’s communications coordinator, Emily is on the Board of Epworth Community Services, a social services agency working with disadvantaged children, at-risk youth and their families.
Emily has been involved in working committees for two LittWorlds in Singapore and the inaugural LittAsia in 2024. “I hope through these training conferences, we have helped provide opportunities for participants to connect, refresh and have helpful takeaways for their writing and publishing ministry work,” she says.
Emily’s book tip: “Kenneth Hagin Jr’s Overflow: Living Above Life’s Limits was a pivotal book for me. I had lost my voice to a rare voice disorder for about nine years when someone in church introduced me to his book. Overflow is premised on the verse John 10:10, which has since been my life verse. John 10:10 gave me the revelation that my voice was stolen but Jesus came so that I can lead an abundant life. Since then, I have held onto this promise that I can live above life’s limits, by God’s strength.”

Bernice Lee
Singapore
Bernice Lee is Managing Director of Graceworks, a publishing and training consultancy in Singapore. Prior to Graceworks, Bernice managed the publishing program for Armour Publishing, a local Christian publishing company that she co-founded. She has also served for 15 years as Chair of MAI-Asia. “I had tasted the amazing camaraderie and Christ-led, empowering focus of MAI’s ministry—where leaders are truly servants of those they seek to encourage,” Bernice says.
Bernice’s book tip: “Tortured for Christ by Richard Wurmbrand. I was so inspired by his tenacious faith and realized what a gift such books could be in the hands of those who need encouragement and who crave knowledge of the God who saves.”

Wong Siew Li
Malaysia
Wong Siew Li is working in executive education at a business school based in Kuala Lumpur. “Given my previous experience in research and Christian publications as well as training currently, I believe God has provided me with the skills, resources and network to help connect and strengthen Christian publishing capabilities in Asia,” Siew Li says, on why she joined the MAI-Asia Board.
Siew Li’s book tip: “I can’t pinpoint any specific book but when growing up, I was immensely inspired by the Christian biographies I read written by missionaries, including Isobel Khun. They encouraged me to exercise faith in a faithful God.”

Marlene Munar
Philippines
Marlene Munar is a freelance writer, editor and translator based in the Philippines. She also serves in her local church, Jesus Our Abundant Life Church, teaching and encouraging others in their faith. Marlene was invited by Yna Reyes to join the Board. “I took it as an opportunity to give back the support and training I’ve received from MAI the past many years,” Marlene says. “I hope to inspire many other new writers. I love working with words as much as I love cheese!”
Marlene’s book tip: “There are a lot of books that helped me in my faith journey, among them Bible study guides by Charles Swindoll, Our Daily Bread devotional guides, and books by Max Lucado.”

Kris Argall
Australia
Kris Argall is commissioning and managing editor at Bible Society Australia. She first attended LittWorld in Singapore in 2015. “I’ve benefited enormously from the ministry of MAI,” Kris says. “It has been a great source of encouragement for me, as well as a wonderful way to connect and share experiences with folks around the world. Joining the MAI-Asia Board is the perfect opportunity to give back to an organization that has blessed and encouraged me in so many ways.”
Kris’ book tip: “The Narnia Chronicles (yes, I’m cheating: it’s seven books, but…), N.T. Wright’s Surprised by Hope, Sarah Bessey’s Out of Sorts, John Mark Comer’s The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry and Brennan Manning’s The Furious Longing of God.”
