Book Marketing in the New Normal
Christian publishers have suffered significantly during the COVID crisis as book supply channels have been disrupted and church life has focused on maintenance rather than mission. What lessons can publishers learn to emerge stronger from the crisis, ready to face the New Normal of life beyond the Virus? Join Tim Thornborough, publishing director of The Good Book Company, for an interactive hour about marketing Christian books. We promise an energizing and encouraging hour of discovery and fellowship as we go back to first principles of marketing to discover the way forward.
Tim became a Christian as a teenager and went on to study Theology and Philosophy at Bristol University. After college, he worked as a social worker, was a professional dancer for a short time, and then worked as a journalist for many years before he founded The Good Book Company in 1990. He is now publishing director of this growing international Christian publisher with offices in Epsom, UK; Charlotte, NC, USA; and with developing partnerships in Australia, India and Africa. He is series editor of Explore Bible-reading notes and has contributed to many books published by the Good Book Company and others, including the Very Best Bible Stories children’s series. Tim is married to Kathy and has three adult daughters, and an ancient but much-loved dog called Pippin.
