My first book, titled 'Recipe for Disaster', came out way back in 1994, and made thirty years in 2024, although we are still preparing to celebrate the milestone probably next year in 2026, God willing. I write for general audience but for YA as well, that is why we have programs like: "Young Authors," to encourage young people to start writing early in life and to support for the school system that hardly focuses on writing skills, and lacks emphasis on reading other than for examinations. Some years ago, I was interviewed as a woman writer in my country, and the interviewer was a research student from Austria, and she asked me how it feels to be a writer in a country whose literacy rate and reading culture are all very low. I told her that I am a trailblazer and I write with hope based on Mathew 5:13-16. I explained that I pray that my work will be the light and the salt to preserve and season society, and that is my vision.
