Ananta Chakma
New Community Church
I’m Ananta Chakma, Lead Pastor and Ministry Director of New Community Church Bangladesh, currently serving in Dinajpur and Thakurgaon districts. I oversee spiritual formation and community development across 14 ministry sites, with a vision to raise up generations of Christ-centered leaders who live out the gospel in practical, culturally relevant ways. My ministry primarily engages faith-based communities, while also building bridges of understanding and compassion with our Hindu and Muslim neighbors, who form the majority in our region. With over 25 years of experience in international organizations—including World Vision, The Leprosy Mission International, Save the Children USA, Tearfund, and IRC—I bring strategic leadership, partnership-building, and project coordination skills to complex ministry contexts. I hold a Master’s in Social Science from Asian University of Bangladesh and a Master’s in Transformational Leadership from IGSL, Philippines. My passion is to equip young leaders, empower families, and develop sustainable, faith-driven solutions for holistic growth. I’m known for sincerity, integrity, and a deep commitment to spiritual and social transformation. I’m blessed to share this journey with my wife Ruth and our two children, Joshua and Mercy.
