UBI Publishing

UBI Publishing is a non-profit publishing enterprise of the Union Bible Institute. UBI Publishing exists to serve Union Bible Institute and the churches of southern Africa by providing materials to encourage believers’ devotion to Christ, commitment to biblical truth, and ability to minister in a changing world. This is done in dependence on God and in partnership with other Christian publishers, by publishing, distributing and promoting products that: • are in line with UBI’s purpose of developing Christ-like servant leaders • are based on the divine inspiration and authority of the Bible • are relevant to the emerging needs of the church • are readable and affordable • serve the language groups of southern Africa, primarily isiZulu • reflect an interdenominational perspective The motto of the Union Bible Institute is Psalm 119:130--"The unfolding of your words gives light." Our books help to unfold God's word to build the body of Christ and his kingdom. Because we focus on isiZulu, the most widely spoken mother tongue in South Africa, we say we offer "Words for your soul in the language of your heart. We began over 80 years ago, publishing books to assist the Union Bible Institute as they trained pastors using the isiZulu language. Today, we are one of the largest producers of isiZulu Christian literature in the country, publishing not only commentaries, but books for Christian growth and discipleship. We are expanding to fill the need for Christian books for a younger generation of readers as well.
